Darra Bonham, LGSW: COVID VACCINATED - TELEHEALTH & In-person: Taking New Clients
(Target Populations: Individual Therapy for Adults)
Hello, thank you for visiting my bio. I view psychotherapy through a trauma focused lens using EMDR as my main modality, with a psychodynamic approach. I am also expanding my focus to add a more holistic approach that includes the body, mind, spirituality, and brain. I am an enrolled Red Lake Nation member and have much experience working with Indigenous peoples in tribal settings. I treat childhood trauma impacting adults; current trauma; domestic violence; grief and loss; anxiety disorders, depression and low self-esteem. I am neurodiverse positive and work with individuals that are autistic or suspect they are autistic; as well as those with ADHD and other neurodiverse brains with a focus on acceptance and celebration of their unique selves.
My education focused on Native American/Indigenous peoples in both my bachelor's degree in social work from the College of St. Scholastica and Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) from the University of Minnesota-Duluth.
In my personal time I enjoy spending time with my grandchildren, plants, gardening, sewing, beading, and drawing.
